12 Reasons To Love Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence, you know her– tall, pretty, an Academy-award winning actress, and star of both high-grossing film series, The X-Men and Hunger Games.

Even though she lives in a world full of glitz and glamour, Jennifer Lawrence is an actress we all normal human beings can relate to. She’s down to earth, spirited, fun–and to be honest, we couldn’t find any reason to hate her. Here are 12 reasons why we couldn’t get enough of Jennifer Lawrence:

1. She loves food and she’s not afraid to say it.

J-Law loves eating, that’s a proven fact. We couldn’t count how many times she interrupted her interviews with the press just to say she’s hungry, and in another interview, she blatantly told everyone that “eating is her favorite part of the day.” Us too girlfriend!

2. Even though she’s already a popular actress, she still gets starstruck with other actors.

J-Law is like all of us. When she sees her favorite celebs walking down the red carpet, she squeals and gets excited just like any other fan. How cute is that? Actor Damian Lewis, Jeff Bridges, and even reality star Kris Jenner all made J-Law almost faint in excitement when she met them. I wonder is she also gets their autographs?

3. She hates exercise and dieting.

In some of her roles, like when she played Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games series, J-Law needed to shed a few pounds, and in order to do that she underwent serious dieting and training. Even though it’s required, she showed no love for it, even saying on television that she hates people who love working out and want to punch them in the face. Tell ’em girl!

4. She’s really smart.

If you watch enough of her interviews and speeches, you must have noticed how she always reply with witty comebacks with every question. She doesn’t believe in a “no comment” reply, she has views about anything and is not afraid to tell the world about them. Oh, and did you know that she graduated two years ahead of her batch mates in high school and has a 3.9 GPA? Gosh Jen, is there anything you can’t do?

5. She’s a staunch supporter of feminism.

J-Law’s stance on feminism is pretty clear. She believes in gender equality and hates sexist comments remarks. On one of her interviews, she said: “We [need to] stop calling each other fat and stop with these unrealistic expectations for women. It’s disappointing that the media keeps it alive and fuels that fire.” Get them girl!

6. She’s one of the boys.

Growing up in a family with two brothers, J-Law grew up tough and played sports like basketball and football. Because of this, she’s always at ease with her co-male stars, and doesn’t mind if she gets a little rowdy with them. She’s the type of girl who can easily hang out with a bunch of guys, and people can’t assume she’s dating one of them because basically, she’s one of them.

7. She doesn’t think she’s all that.

Winning an Academy and Oscar Award is every Hollywood actor’s dream, and J-Law managed to do that with her role as Tiffany Maxwell alongside Bradley Cooper in Silver Lining’s Playbook. She was the second youngest star to wind the award– she was just 22!– but despite her success, J-Law managed to keep her feet on the ground. In an interview with Vanity Fair, she said: “Everybody’s like, ‘How can you remain with a level head?’ And I’m like, ‘Why would I ever get cocky? I’m not saving anybody’s life. There are doctors who save lives and firemen who run into burning buildings. I’m making movies. It’s stupid.’” How to be you Jen?

8. She’s brutally honest.

In a world where public perception is everything, J-Law speaks the real deal. She is not afraid of stating her strong opinions about matters she cares about, and if she doesn’t like what you said, she will automatically tell you off, profanities and all. At some times, she even spills TMI situations, but she’s so cute, we can’t help but find her endearing.

9. She promotes positive body image.

J-Law doesn’t conform to the stereotype that to survive in Hollywood, she should be thinner than she is now. She revealed in an interview that some Hollywood producers were urging her to lose some weight, and she isn’t getting any of it. At one point she even said, “I’ll let myself starve just to please other people? That’s stupid.” Hear, hear!

10. She’s naturally funny.

It’s true. J-Law has a certain aspect to her personality that whatever she says, it’s always damn hilarious. Being funny comes naturally to her, she doesn’t require a script and judging from her past banters with co-stars, friends, and guestings, she’s pretty quick on her feet, and most of the time, she just wants everyone to feel relaxed and at ease. Be my friend please J-Law!

11. She’s smoking.

J-Law is beautiful, no doubt about that. She has a naturally voluptuous body, and she is blessed with a gorgeous face. She’s hot, smart, funny, and confident– what’s not to love?

12. She supports charity.

One thing we really absolutely love about J-Law is that she knows how to give back. Over the years she has supported charitable causes such as Feeding America, the Thirst project, and World Food Programme. In 2015, she also launched her own foundation, the Jennifer Lawrence Foundation, which supports causes such as the Special Olympics and the Boys & Girls Club of America. I could go on, but the bottom line is, J-Law is bomb and has a good heart.
